Cables Britain has recently supplied and commissioned the LISTEC Addressable Heat Detection system to activate the water deluge system on the conveyors in zoned areas.
This was proposed by Marsh Ltd for the waste transfer station to provide an early warning fire detection system on the moving conveyors.
LISTEC was employed due to the fact that the alarm temperature parameters can be freely adjusted to suit the adverse site conditions.
The system at BDR Rotherham was tested and further evaluated by Marsh Ltd.
