Cables Britain Ltd supplied and commissioned a LISTEC system for the biomass conveyors to protect the roller bearings.
LISTEC was employed to provide a fast temperature response in the event of the bearings being overheated, upon receipt of the bearings overheating a signal would be sent direct into the site SCADA system to enable the conveyors to be shut down quickly and reducing the risk of damage to the plant. LISTEC provided a pin point accuracy on the location on the source of heat.
The system was specified by Fairport Engineering and installed by Sir Robert McAlpine.
